The World Military Games, referred to as the "Military Games", is the highest level of large-scale comprehensive games hosted by the International Military Sports Council. It is held every four years and lasts for 7 to 10 days. There are 27 sports in the games, and the scale of the games is about 8000 people from more than 100 countries, second only to the Olympic Games. Known as the "Military Olympics", it is an important platform for the armed forces of various countries to show their image of strength, enhance friendly exchanges and expand their international influence in peacetime.

The 7th CISM Military World Games (7TH CISM Military World Games), also known as "Wuhan Military Games", will be held in Wuhan, China from October 18 to 27, 2019. The 10-day event will consist of 329 events in 27 sports, including shooting, swimming, track and field, basketball and so on. A total of 9,308 servicemen from 109 countries signed up to participate in the seventh World Military Games, which is the largest, the largest number of participants and the most influential games in the history of the World Military Games.

Chinese President Xi Jinping, general secretary of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee and chairman of the Central Military Commission (CMC), announced the opening ceremony of the 7th Military World Games at the Wuhan Sports Center in Wuhan, Capital of Central China's Hubei Province, Oct. 18, 2019.
